Centre EPÉU — Residential retreat
La Maîtrise — the mental retreat
The continuation of the Mental Treatment.
6 days · individual · Château de Villereglan
Who it is for
La Maîtrise is the continuation of the Mental Treatment. It is intended for those who have completed it, who have maintained their daily practice since, and in whom the work of deactivation has done its work: the old reactions have lost their charge, but mastery — the capacity to conduct one’s mental states voluntarily — is not yet installed. It is the normal intermediate state: something has opened, control has not followed. This retreat is built for that precise passage.
Admission takes place upon a consultation with M. Mischa Harmeijer, with one measurable condition: at least thirty days of daily Δ Delta-Score records since the end of the Mental Treatment, kept with regularity — the quality of the scores does not come into it, only the constancy of the practice is looked at, including and above all the difficult days. The retreat does not follow straight on from the Treatment — it is earned through practice, and the decision is taken at home, at a distance from the Centre. The order counts, and so does the rhythm.
The principle
The vessel does not grow larger; the processing becomes organised.
For six days, you will learn nothing new to believe — you will train a capacity: recognising the state you are in, modifying it voluntarily, holding the position, then releasing. These are mental gestures. Like all gestures, they are worked on, they fail at first, then they become available.
The precise course of the six days is not published: it is individual, and it is set out for you during the consultation with M. Mischa Harmeijer that precedes any admission.
The image of the vessel and the river is set out in Perceptibility — a report of observation and synthesis.
Residential retreat
This is what La Maîtrise offers.
6 days · €2,800
Six days in residence at the Château, individually. Structured daily work, individual sessions of directed suggestion in the hypnotic state over the course of the week, and the Δ Delta-Score record as the thread of measurement — the week’s curves are read together, they show what impression does not.
The ends of the day are free and silent: the work continues during rest, which is precisely where it settles in.
You leave with your personal programme to continue alone — that is the week’s criterion of success, not its supplement.
Afterwards
Most leave with what they came for, and that is an end in itself. For those in whom the mastery installed opens the wish to go further, a continuation exists. It is decided later, at home, never here.

The setting
La Maîtrise is neither care, nor therapy, nor a rest stay.
It is not a substitute for any medical or psychological follow-up — if you are currently being followed, the written agreement of the practitioner who accompanies you is required, as for all the Centre’s approaches. And it promises no result: the training produces its effects through practice and its upkeep, at a rhythm that varies from one person to another. What is guaranteed is what depends on us: six days of structured, individual work, and a programme to continue.
You may interrupt your stay at any moment. That decision belongs to you entirely and does not have to be justified. The setting is demanding, it is never a constraint: nothing holds you at the Centre. The conditions applicable in the event of interruption appear in the general terms and conditions.
Ongoing psychiatric or psychotherapeutic care
Admission remains possible, subject to the written agreement of the practitioner who follows you. This document must attest that they have been informed of the conditions of the retreat, namely six days of individual work in residence, and that they see no contraindication.
If this document was not requested from you during your consultation with M. Mischa Harmeijer, it will be required at the time of registration.
In the event of suicidal thoughts or immediate risk, this retreat is not suitable — call 15 or 3114 immediately.
The first step
A consultation with M. Mischa Harmeijer.
Admission to La Maîtrise never happens by simple registration. It always begins with a consultation with M. Mischa Harmeijer.
During this interview, M. Mischa Harmeijer listens, observes, and looks at where your practice stands since the Mental Treatment. He assesses whether La Maîtrise is the right answer for you, at this precise moment of your path. If it is not, he tells you clearly — and directs you towards what will be more fitting for you.
What precedes admission
The condition is measurable: at least thirty days of daily Δ Delta-Score records since the end of the Mental Treatment, kept with regularity. The quality of the scores does not come into it — only the constancy of the practice is looked at, including and above all the difficult days.
Definitive admission is pronounced at the end of the interview. If it is confirmed, a date is set, and the precise course of your six days — individual — is set out for you.
The number of retreats conducted each month is strictly limited — because this work demands M. Mischa Harmeijer’s full availability, and no one can conduct several trainings at once.
First step
Make an appointment
The interview takes place at Centre EPÉU or by videoconference. It is booked online.
La Maîtrise belongs exclusively to a process of training the mastery of mental states. It constitutes neither a medical act, nor psychotherapy, nor a care programme. If psychiatric or psychotherapeutic care is ongoing, the written agreement of the practitioner who follows you is required before any admission.
