Consciousness is not a product of the brain
Modern science — quantum physics, informational biology, consciousness research — is converging on a single observation: the human being cannot be reduced to a biological, cognitive or computational machine. Leading scientists hold that consciousness is not an emergent product of the brain, but a fundamental reality, prior to matter and to space-time.
What this changes for you: your biology does not confine you. You are a field of perception and consciousness — observer, observed and actor at once — and that field can be clarified, ordered and worked on. This reversal of perspective, already formulated in the hermetic laws — as set out in the Kybalion, through the principles of mentalism and correspondence — is now confirmed by contemporary scientific observation.
Your body is a holographic system
Every cell of your body contains the entire genome of the organism: the human body is a holographic system, made of parts carrying the potential knowledge of the whole. This part–whole principle, central to hermeticism, is now recognised by modern biology through phenomena such as epigenetics: information is not localised, it is distributed.
Concretely, you are not an assembly of isolated parts. You are a local expression of a wider field of consciousness, following an architecture that repeats at different scales of life and existence — and it is on this architecture that the Centre’s work rests.
Fifty years of direct observation
For Mischa Harmeijer, founder of Centre EPÉU, this understanding is not a theoretical construction, but the result of more than fifty years of direct, continuous observation: from childhood, he witnessed perceptual and informational phenomena beyond the ordinary frame of human cognition — capacities often designated by the terms medium or clairvoyant, which he regards as reductive and imprecise.
Refusing any folkloric, mystical or spectacular approach, he directed this work towards understanding the fundamental laws that exceed the strictly human frame, drawing on authentic hermeticism, the knowledge of ancient civilisations, and their deep coherence with contemporary scientific discoveries. This path led to a structured knowledge of perception, the mental body and consciousness — not as a belief, but as an operative, observable and transmissible reality. Understanding what you really are
Centre EPÉU studies, structures and transmits this understanding through rigorous work on human perception, consciousness, and the relation between information, reality and lived experience. It is neither a spiritual current nor a dogmatic system, but a path of perceptual clarification and inner responsibility.
The aim: to allow a conscious reorientation of your perception, so that you understand what you really are — and stop defining yourself as a mere machine, at the risk of becoming one. The Centre thus acts as a bridge between contemporary science and the fundamental laws of universal knowledge, of which hermeticism was one of the first structured formulations.
Ethical & deontological framework
The research, analysis and transmission work carried out within Centre EPÉU takes place within a strict ethical and deontological framework, founded on responsibility, methodological rigour and respect for persons.
Scope of intervention
The approaches developed at Centre EPÉU in no way substitute for a medical, psychological or psychiatric diagnosis, nor for therapeutic treatment in the clinical sense. They belong to a complementary field of observation, perceptual structuring and clarification of mental functioning, outside any form of care in the regulatory sense of the term.
Medical support
In order to guarantee a responsible framework, Centre EPÉU works with Dr Séverine Jalet, general practitioner, homeopath and acupuncturist, as well as with Mrs Patricia Larcher, state-registered dietitian and naturopath. Some programmes may require a prior medical check-up. If a participant is currently in therapy or under the supervision of a psychiatrist, medical agreement is required before any work begins. Methodological rigour
The perceptual phenomena studied — sometimes designated in everyday language by terms such as medium or clairvoyance — are never approached as gifts, powers or revealed truths, but as observable human functionings, requiring a rigorous analytical framework and permanent critical distance.
Decision-making autonomy
No information transmitted, no analysis carried out and no support offered is intended to influence, direct or condition a person’s personal, professional, medical or legal decisions. All decision-making responsibility remains fully and exclusively with the person concerned or with the legally competent professionals.
Applied analysis
Within the applied-analysis activities carried out through the BRIN (Bureau de Renseignement et d’Investigations Noétiques), information arising from perception is never considered in isolation. It is integrated into processes of cross-analysis, verification and consistency-checking, and in no case constitutes evidence, diagnoses or autonomous operational certainties.
Pedagogical transmission
Knowledge is transmitted within a structured pedagogical framework, notably within Centre EPÉU, with the aim of making the mechanisms studied understandable, contextualised and applicable in a responsible manner, without proselytism or dogmatic discourse.
Fundamental principles
Every approach offered rests on respect for each person’s autonomy, discernment and freedom. It excludes any form of dependency, psychological hold or promise of results.
