Centre EPÉU draws on today’s science, and on direct and continuous observation.
You are not a machine
Research today, in physics and on consciousness, points in the same direction: the human being cannot be reduced to a biological machine. Leading scientists state that consciousness is not produced by the brain: it would come first, before matter.
What this changes for you: your biology does not lock you in. You are a field of perception and consciousness, and this field can be clarified, ordered, worked on.
A bridge
Centre EPÉU links two shores: ancient knowledge, such as hermeticism and the traditions of peoples, and what science is discovering today about consciousness (fig. 1).
An example: each cell of your body contains the whole genome. The part carries the knowledge of the whole. This is an ancient principle of hermeticism, and biology is finding it again today.
The ideas on which all the Centre’s work rests are written in the Manifesto of the Centre.
A direct observation
For M. Mischa Harmeijer, founder of the Centre, this does not come from a theory. He has never seen the world as most people see it: he has always seen its hidden side. People often speak of a medium or a clairvoyant; he finds these words too narrow.
He rejects folklore, mysticism and spectacle. He looks for the laws behind it: in hermeticism, in the knowledge of ancient civilisations, and in what science is discovering today. What he has drawn from it is not a belief: it is knowledge that can be observed, and passed on.
What the Centre does
The Centre studies, orders and passes on this knowledge: about perception, about consciousness, and about the link between what one receives and what one lives.
It is neither a religion nor a dogma. It is a work of clarity and responsibility, to understand what you really are, and to stop believing you are a mere machine.
Ethical & deontological framework
The research, analysis and transmission work carried out within Centre EPÉU takes place within a strict ethical and deontological framework, founded on responsibility, methodological rigour and respect for persons.
Scope of intervention
The approaches developed at Centre EPÉU in no way substitute for a medical, psychological or psychiatric diagnosis, nor for therapeutic treatment in the clinical sense. They belong to a complementary field of observation, perceptual structuring and clarification of mental functioning, outside any form of care in the regulatory sense of the term.
Medical support
In order to guarantee a responsible framework, Centre EPÉU works with Dr Séverine Jalet, general practitioner, homeopath and acupuncturist, as well as with Mrs Patricia Larcher, state-registered dietitian and naturopath. Some programmes may require a prior medical check-up. If a participant is currently in therapy or under the supervision of a psychiatrist, medical agreement is required before any work begins. Methodological rigour
The perceptual phenomena studied — sometimes designated in everyday language by terms such as medium or clairvoyance — are never approached as gifts, powers or revealed truths, but as observable human functionings, requiring a rigorous analytical framework and permanent critical distance.
Decision-making autonomy
No information transmitted, no analysis carried out and no support offered is intended to influence, direct or condition a person’s personal, professional, medical or legal decisions. All decision-making responsibility remains fully and exclusively with the person concerned or with the legally competent professionals.
Applied analysis
Within the applied-analysis activities carried out through the BRIN (Bureau de Renseignement et d’Investigations Noétiques), information arising from perception is never considered in isolation. It is integrated into processes of cross-analysis, verification and consistency-checking, and in no case constitutes evidence, diagnoses or autonomous operational certainties.
Pedagogical transmission
Knowledge is transmitted within a structured pedagogical framework, notably within Centre EPÉU, with the aim of making the mechanisms studied understandable, contextualised and applicable in a responsible manner, without proselytism or dogmatic discourse.
Fundamental principles
Every approach offered rests on respect for each person’s autonomy, discernment and freedom. It excludes any form of dependency, psychological hold or promise of results.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Centre a religion or a cult?
No. It is neither a spiritual current nor a dogmatic system: a path of perceptual clarification and inner responsibility, without proselytism, excluding any form of dependency, hold or promise of results.
Is the approach scientific?
It draws on contemporary science (quantum physics, consciousness research) and on direct, continuous observation. Here you verify rather than believe.
What are hermeticism and the Kybalion?
An ancient formulation of the laws of mentalism and correspondence, coherent with contemporary scientific findings — a philosophical reference, not an imposed belief.
What is the BRIN?
The Bureau de Renseignement et d’Investigations Noétiques: perception is analysed through cross-checking, verification and coherence — never taken in isolation, never as proof.
Why does the Centre avoid the words “medium” or “clairvoyant”?
Because they are reductive and imprecise. The Centre distinguishes three functions: perceptibility, psychism, mediumship. See the structure of consciousness.
Does the Centre replace a doctor?
No. It belongs to a complementary field and in no way substitutes for a medical, psychological or psychiatric diagnosis or treatment. See medical support.
