The Château
Home of Centre EPÉU
A 17th-century residence in Saint-Martin-de-Villereglan, chosen for its stability and authenticity — not its prestige.
A real history, rooted in its territory
Built in the 17th century, the Château de Villereglan served in turn as a residence of notables, a place of social organisation and a gathering place. A place that has always been inhabited, traversed by life. It remains a landmark in Saint-Martin-de-Villereglan today — not as a museum piece, but as a living place, a carrier of memory and continuity.

Today it is a residence dedicated to inner work, to the structuring of consciousness and to in-depth human training. It is not a stage set: it is a pedagogical instrument in its own right.
Between Carcassonne and Limoux, in the heart of the Malepère
The estate lies in the Malepère, a country of hills, vineyards and open landscapes. It is surrounded by walking paths through the vines, offering broad views of the Pyrenees. This natural setting is not scenery, but the quiet breathing of the place: a constant presence of the landscape that supports inner balance without ever distracting from the work.
The château does not stand apart from the world: it sits at the centre of the village, surrounded by ordinary life, by homes and by everyday human rhythms. This choice is deliberate: here, silence is not learned through isolation, but through inner stability in the very midst of real life.
“The inner work transmitted at Centre EPÉU does not aim to flee the world, but to learn to stand in it rightly.” — Mischa Harmeijer
An authenticity preserved
The château has kept its original architecture, its volumes, its materiality and its relationship to time. This place does not seek to impress, but to support serious, deep work: its authenticity rests on its continuity of use, its sobriety and its capacity to hold real human work, without artifice or décor.
Centre EPÉU does not pursue absolute outer silence, but something more demanding: learning to let silence emerge within, independently of noise, presences or outside movement.
